The first step in applying eyeliner is choosing whether you want to use liquid eyeliner or gel eyeliner. In this tutorial, Zoe takes you through the benefits of both types, as well as showing you how easy it is to apply!

Top Tips for
liquid eyeliner:
Start in the middle of your eye, with strokes to the outer corner!
Small thin strokes are easier to apply and can be layered to your preferred style
Tilt your head forward slightly to get the right line for application.
If you're winging out your eyeliner, work in the way from your end point!

Top Tips for
gel eyeliner:
If your gel eyeliner doesn't come with a brush, invest in a good quality brush specifically for applying eyeliner.
Start from the middle of the eye again, working towards the outer eye. Remember, the line towards outer eye should be thicker than that to the inner eye.
Follow with mascara to enhance the look!
