Marc Jacobs designed under his own label for two years after graduating, and in 1984 became the youngest designer ever to be awarded the Council of Fashion Designers of America's prize for new talent. In 1997 he won the design job at Louis Vuitton where he introduced modern pop and kitsch into their sedate image. He recently signed a 10 year contract with Louis Vuitton meaning that we will be seeing his designs there for many years to come. He has also launched a successful range of perfumes & aftershaves for both men and woman that reflect his design style; unpredictable & luxurious.
