- Comb the hair thoroughly.
- Spray each section with hairspray before inserting the roller as this will secure and give staying power to the curl.
- Place roller on section - wind in ends first to keep tidy and then wind up rest of roller.
- Keep the tension quite tight to create a well formed curl and avoid knots.
- Use different size rollers for different areas of the hair and for a different finish.
- Smaller rollers create tighter curls whilst larger rollers give a big barrelled, looser, sexier feel. Also use smaller rollers where there is shorter or less hair.
- Place clip over roller and close jaws making sure the curl is secure.
- Ensure the hair has cooled properly before removing rollers. This stops the curl dropping too quickly.
- Finish with desired hairspray and styling products.

Learning curve
If you are going to buy it to do other people's hair keep in mind that you need to get at your customers house 30 minutes before to get it heated. Second thing is you have to place it in a secure bag becouse the plastic lid is really cheap and breaks easily. You also have to buy 2 sets, one is not enough for a full head. With that said it can work easily with the hot rolers, just use a good hair spray before and after.
Awful
These are the worst heated rollers I have ever had. They do not heat rapidly as promised. The design is dreadful since they catch in your hair. My hair suffered badly. I had to use them since I was in New York and had nothing else.
Dreadful customer services
I purchased a set of rollers from BaByliss. The clear top split in half. It must have been a flaw in manufacture as I did not damage it. Customer services absolutely refused to replace lid and insisted I had to pay for a replacement. I did not and have purchased a set from a different manufacturer.
At first I thought this
At first I thought this product didn't work very well as the curls fell out after a few hours or sometimes within an hr. Untilmi realized hair spray is an integral part of keeping the curls. I spray my whole head lightly before. When I do individual sections of the hair and after when I take the rollers out.
This was an absolute waste
This was an absolute waste of money. My boyfriend bought these for me because he knew this is what I wanted, these are a little cheaper than most (now I know why). I have a lot of thick hair, so I know it's not my hair's fault. I've tried them 3 times already and it just doesn't work. I've kept them way longer than advised on the box and when I take them out (and after removing my hair from the rollers, it gets so tangled in them, so damaging to your hair) I can only see a slight wave at the ends of the hair, after 20-30 minutes my hair is back to its previous shape. Really dissapointed, 40€ down the drain, don't buy this.

These are absolutely amazing! Got them in the mail today, tried them as soon as I could and the results were great! I was a bit skeptical since I have really thick hair that's hard to maintain, these worked like a charm! I would definitely recommend these to everyone, a truly amazing product!
