"Skin becomes dry when oil glands do not produce a sufficient amount of oil to lubricate the skin efficiently, leading to dehydration of the skin. Typically, dry skin is thin, dull and often flaky with fine lines. This skin type can occur due to the aging process as the ability of skin to retain moisture can diminish. Exposure to harsh weather conditions such as the sun, wind and cold weather can also exacerbate the condition"
