• Lightweight AND Hydrating

  I had tried Mario Badescu's oil-free moisturiser before this and found it was too lightweight for my combination/acne prone skin and often felt quite dry soon after application. But this moisturiser is a perfect balance for my skin. Although also lightweight, it has a creamy consistency with aloe vera which is very cooling and has reduced general redness around my face. It leaves my skin feeling and looking hydrated without being greasy. Highly recommend if you have more so dry skin that is also blemish prone.

  A little bit goes a long way. Feels lovely and has spf without making your makeup on top cakey or flash back.

• Major let down

  I so wanted to love this. It had everything I was looking for: SPF, aloe, oil free, Mario Badescu. But it let me down so badly! I have a really oily t-zone and dry skin everywhere else, so I needed some good, strong hydration. I had to use so much of this just to feel even a little moisturised, and even then my skin would feel tight within minutes. Plus, this moisturiser is really thick!! So disappointed.

• Not for me

  I bought it because it was in a story about spf for oily skin or acne prone skin. So I didn't expect it to be as thick as it is. To thick for my liking. After applying it also started to sting. Maybe it didn't work well with the other products I use, maybe it was the product itself. I stopped using it after 2 times.

• Favourite lightweight moisturiser for oily skin

  Always struggled to find a day time moisturiser for my oily skin that didn't leave my skin dehydrated or sensitive. Have a lot of love for this little beauty. Very lightweight moisturiser that is also incredibly soothing on my breakouts without clogging pores and making them worse. Loses points for the use of Oxybenzone and Octinoxate in the sunscreen which can be harmful to coral reefs when it ends up in the ocean and can be potentially toxic to the skin causing sensitivity. I will continue to use it as I have not had a reaction with it, but I hope Mario Badescu reformulates the sunscreen aspect of the product soon, or removes it entirely as you still need to apply a different sunscreen afterwards.

• Great product for combination skin

  I started using this about a month ago and it has worked really well; I don't notice my skin getting as oily throughout the day as I used to (however this may also be change of atmosphere from being in the office all day - tbc), it doesn't feel heavy, absorbs well and i've put makeup over it without any issue (although I don't tend to wear much makeup at all so may be different for others). The only downside is the tip gets clogged with dried moisturiser so you do sometimes lose a little here but not a big deal.
