The Best Concealers For Pale Skintones

If you have pale skin, you’ll know the struggle of trying to find your perfect concealer match all too well. Often, the lightest shades just aren’t light enough and you’re forced to settle for a hue that only slightly (/not really) resembles your shade.

Don’t worry though. All hope is not lost as thankfully more and more brands are expanding their ranges with lighter shade options (yay!).

Here are some tried and tested concealers suitable for even the palest of complexions.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

Makeup Revolution’s Conceal & Define Concealer is just as good as the high-end concealers, but a lot cheaper. C1 is a fantastic shade that will match plenty of pale skin tones. I apply using my fingers, patting the product onto my problem areas, such as my patches of redness and dark circles. The patting motion enables me to build up the coverage I want really quickly. This concealer is also great for eye bases and cut creases. It’s multi-use, cheap as chips and 100% worth trying out!” – Adele (@adelesmakeup)

Jeffree Star Magic Star Concealer

Jeffree Star’s Magic Star Concealer in C10 is my absolute obsession. For me, having very pale skin means that the dark circles under my eyes stand out like a sore thumb, but I can safely say I’ve found my holy grail product when it comes to tackling them. The formula is full coverage, yet it feels incredibly lightweight on the skin which was such a pleasant surprise! I’m 100% confident that this concealer will cover up any blemish or impurity on my face, it’s amazing! Not to mention, this stuff DOES NOT budge, it’s still going strong at the end of a long day, surviving gym sessions, tears at the latest Game of Thrones episodes… the list goes on. I’ve done the obligatory tattoo cover up test too and I was not disappointed!” – Aimee, Email Designer

Nabla Close Up Concealer

“I like to apply the Close Up Concealer from NABLA by dotting it around my T-Zone and blending out with my beauty sponge. It’s a medium to full coverage concealer which works best over moisturiser or primer. The Ivory shade looks beautiful on the skin and it blends out effortlessly. It manages to cover my dark circles completely and there’s a nice range of fair-light shades too. A+ from me!” – Arianna (@theariannam)

Jouer Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer

“Confession – I fell out of wearing concealer for about a year – no matter which one I tried it was always cakey and I could never find the right shade for my pale skin. I learnt my lesson not long ago when I caught my reflection at a bad angle, and my under-eye circles were ALL I could see. I ordered the Jouer Cosmetics Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer immediately and haven’t looked back. The shade was perfect for my skintone, and the formula was full coverage but not too thick, blending with my foundation really nicely. I’m nearly at the end of my tube and it’s already in my bag again – ready, set, rebuy.” – Sarah, Events & Experiential

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer

“The Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer (shade C1) is amazing! It’s definitely light enough for my pale skin and refuses to oxidise, unlike other concealers I’ve tried in the past. It has amazing coverage but doesn’t look cakey, which is everything I need from my everyday concealer.” – Aoife (@glambyaoifee)

wet n wild Photo Focus Concealer

“My seemingly never-ending search for my perfect concealer shade is officially over, thanks to wet n wild’s Photo Focus Concealer in shade Light Ivory. It’s super creamy, so it blends like a dream over my dark circles, pigmentation and blemishes. I’m all about the natural, no makeup-makeup look at the moment, and this concealer fits the bill perfectly, leaving my skin looking smooth and airbrushed.” – Francesca, Marketing Executive
