How To Curl Hair With A Straightener

Curling your hair with a straightener is the ultimate beauty hack. Not sure how to style your hair? Curl with a straightener. Want to feel glam but natural? Turn your straighteners on. Don’t have a curler but need curls in your life? Hello straighteners!

But with all that said, curling your hair with a straightener is a serious skill. You’ve got to have the right angle, the right pressure, and the right hold time to be able to master a soft bouncy curl and not one that looks like fresh bed head.

To help you get to grips with curling your hair with a straightener, @vnmmakeup has created a five-step tutorial so your curls are always easy and breezy.

Spritz heat protection through the hair before sectioning the hair using a light grip (to avoid a bobble kink) and start your curls from the bottom.

Once your straightener is hot, wrap it around a small section of your hair. If you want bigger curls, use a larger section of hair but allow more time for the curl to form.

Be sure that the straightener is about to be pulled towards the face.

With medium pressure (it shouldn’t hurt your scalp), pull the straightener down to the bottom of the hair strand.

Pin up the curl using a light grip until cool and repeat the process until all the sections are done.
