Up until recently my skin makeup has consisted of a full wardrobe of formulations. Tinted moisturiser for balmy summer days, full coverage creams for nights out, lightweight mineral foundation for the office, high coverage concealer for breakouts and light reflecting fluids for erasing dark circles. A bulky hoard of products that take up far too much space on my dresser.
That was until I was introduced to one small product which could do it all. Cover FX Cover Click: A small chrome tube, housing a bullet of full coverage cream pigment. When handed it I was initially taken aback by its small frame. The size of a lipstick, I assumed it would be no more than simply an effective concealer – but quickly proven wrong. With a creamy texture and silky formula, it glides onto skin flawlessly blurring all imperfections in its wake. A little goes a really long way – simply striped onto cheeks, nose, forehead and chin, it can then be buffed out to cover the whole face and used as sparingly as needed. With true, full coverage, only the smallest amount is needed to create a real airbrushed, photo finish with a dewy skin-mimicking finish. Never cakey, it can be layered up to cover even the most pigmented of imperfections. In fact, its coverage powers are such, that it even covers heavy black-ink tattoos.
What’s more, the shape lends itself perfectly to contouring, too. Just choose a couple of shades lighter and darker than your true skin tone, and swipe it under contours and onto high points to create the perfect sculpted finish.
True to Cover FX’s diverse range, the Cover Click comes in 25 shades, with collections to perfectly fit Pink, Neutral and Golden undertones, ranging from the palest porcelain through to the deepest warm tan.
Taking up the smallest amount of space in my makeup bag, my favourite shades (P20 and P30) travel with me for flawless skin wherever I might end up.
