How To Fake Ombre Powder Brows With 7 Products

If your brows are the most important thing on your face, we know you always want to keep them looking on point (or arch). Knowing which brow trend to follow can be harder than deciding which boujee palette to buy, but take it from us, ombre powder brows are all you need rn.

Often confused with microblading, which creates a natural hair strokes effect, ombre brows give more of a makeup look. But with a price point of £100+, mastering your own ombre brows at home means you don’t have to wait for an appointment or apply for an overdraft.

Follow our step-by-step and get the killer brows you’ve been searching for.

Step One

Following a hot shower, or after applying a hot compress to the brows to open the pores, pluck away any stray hairs using the Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers. Always pluck brows in the direction of the hair growth.

Step Two

Using the spoolie side of the Blinc Eyebrow Pencil, brush the brows until they are smoothed and in an upright position. You can use the ARTDECO Clear Lash and Brow Gel to set this shape in place.

Step Three

Using the precision tip of the Blinc Eyebrow Pencil, carefully draw an outline around your brows. This outline will be the shape of your brows at the end of the tutorial, so make sure the shape is precise and both brows match.

The outline should have a defined triangle in each outer corner.

Step Four

Apply the Makeup Revolution Brow Tint to the outer corners of your brows using the applicator or the L.A. Girl Duo Brow Brush spoolie for a more precise application. Leave the front quarter of your brows bare. This will eventually create the ombre effect.

The tint can be left for up to two hours, but we recommend peeling it away after 45 minutes. Brush away any excess tint with  the L.A. Girl Duo Brow Brush spoolie.

Step Five

Once you have removed your first layer of tint, apply a second coat. This time apply the tint to the outer half of the brow, and carefully brush the tint forward using a spoolie. Again, leave the very front of the brows bare.

Step Six

Once you are happy with the colour of the brows, take the Blinc Eyebrow Pencil and lightly shade over any patches missed by the tint.

If you want the colour of your brows darker, apply another layer of tint, repeating Step Five.

Step Seven

Using the L.A. Girl Duo Brow Brush, apply powder from the Sigma Beauty Colour and Shape Brow Powder Duo to the front of the brows.

When applying, aim to create the ombre effect, ensuring the brows are lighter at the front compared to the outer corners.

Step Eight

Once you are happy with the colour and shape of your brows, take the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel and brush through in the direction of the hairs to set the look.

To amplify the ombre effect, apply a darker shade of the gel from arch to tail and a lighter shade through the front of the brow.
