It’s no secret that facial microcurrent devices have been used in professional treatments for years – but the time has come where we can finally DIY the treatment from the comfort of our own bathrooms. If you’ve found yourself wondering how microcurrent skincare works, or what products are best to use with your device, you’re in the right place.
The list of benefits from using a microcurrent device is long, and often ends in brighter, plumper, and firmer skin. One of our faves has to be the Solawave Advanced Skincare Wand with Red Light Therapy, and we’re here to teach you just how to use it…
The first step is to ensure your skin is clean and free from oil, for the best results! Wash and dry your face so that you start with clean, hydrated skin.
Your Solawave device needs to be used with a conductive formula (typically a gel or serum) to allow the current to pass effectively to the skin. The formula must be water-based and oil-free as the current passes easily through water but is blocked by oils. Read our article here on the best products to use with your device.
Glide the Wand across your face in an upward and outward moment, slowly covering your forehead, cheeks, under eyes, jaw, neck and upper lip.
The Wand will automatically turn on when making contact with hydrated, clean skin.
Use for at least 5 minutes and enjoy your new glow!
