All makeup obsessives around the world will be familiar with the Milani Conceal & Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation. Thanks to its full-coverage, oil-free formula, it has rave reviews, has won multiple awards, and is a favourite of makeup artists and beauty bloggers alike.
Earlier this year, the US-based brand made a major announcement with the launch of their Conceal & Perfect Longwear Concealers and Foundation Sticks – an expansion of their existing base range that makes finding the right shade/product/formula a whole lot easier.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new products.
The original foundation’s full coverage formula has long been a favourite of ours and is replicated in the concealer – a little goes a long way in completely masking everything from dark circles to blemishes, and redness. But what about those days when you don’t want a heavy-duty base? This is where the foundation stick comes into its own – you can get a light coverage base by applying a thin layer of product to the centre of your face and blending it out, and if you want more coverage you can easily build layers on top.
The shade range
A stick foundation that comes in more than a dozen shades is hard to come by, and likewise, most concealers come in just a handful of shades. Milani has doubled the average with 18 shades of concealer and 20 shades in the foundation stick to choose from.
The concealer is multiuse
Typically, concealers either really good for concealing under-eyes or really good for concealing blemishes – rarely both. The reason being that if a formula is thick enough to cover blemishes, it will be too thick to sit under your eyes (and will crease), or vice versa. However, the amazing thing about the new Conceal & Perfect Concealers is that the formula is light and serum-like (so won’t crease under your eyes) but is packed with so much pigment that you don’t even need to layer it to cover blemishes.
The foundation stick is buildable
Most stick foundations drag skin as you swipe them and feel thick and heavy, but this one has a glide-on formula that feels completely weightless. That and the stick applicator is what sets this foundation apart from the OG liquid version. It’s ideal for travelling and on-the-go touch-ups, and the formula is buildable and blendable – perfect for tailoring your coverage to suit your needs for different occasions.
They last all day
Both of the new launches are designed to last for up to 12 hours (something we can totally get behind) meaning you can apply them at 8am and go about your day confident in the knowledge that your makeup will remain intact until you get home.
Like the original Conceal & Perfect Foundation, the two new additions to the range are both super affordable – proving that good quality makeup doesn’t have to take a toll on your bank balance.
