Absolutely stunning
The shimmer foil on the bottom left is the star of the quad here, so shiny and long lasting! Other shades are also an asset.
The green is better on the other side...
Heard about XX Revolution from a Beauty Youtuber and decided to give it a test. The green XXtortion palette is very price worthy and has some lovely green shades! The formula is buttery and smooth, very very little kick-back in the pan and almost no fall-out. Easy to press back if accidently disturbed by a nail or the brush. Tested the shadows for a full week. First 3 days with eyeshadow primer, set with a light dust of powder - the shadows did not grip and where difficult to blend, got patchy and faded significally during the day. Rest of the week with eyeshadow primer only, used a flat brush and padded the shadows on the lid - much better result, blended better and more even and lasted almost full day before fading. Colours: Top two - 1. Shimmery champagne with slightly warm undertone, gorgeous all over lid. Think it will suit all skintones and undertones. 2. Shimmery mossy green has a sligthly warm underton and did not work for me, with my fair skin and neutral undertone. Low two - 1. Glittery mossy green, a soft pressed glitter, must be handled with a gentle touch. Soo stunning to tap on the center of the lid using your finger, but once again, the undertones did not fit my fair, neutral skin. 2. A more bluish green/teal with cool undertones - suited me perfectly, made my eyes pop! The mossy green shadows brought out a yellowish tone in my whites of the eyes, made my blue/green/gray eyes look pale blue and made me look unrested. The packaging: Made of sturdy plastic with the look of a gun-metall case. Good, tight closing mechanism. The lower part is slim and in line with the hight of the shadows. The lid with the inbuilt mirror is unnecessery "airy"/bulky/too high in my view. It does not have any specific purpose/function to have it so high, it could have been made slimmer based on the fact that the mirror is so thin. It would also have made the packaging more sleek and elegant. The "grid" the shadows are in looks to be hard plastic or metallic, but are actually rather flimsy - imagine the molded plastic base in a more luxury box of chocolate pralines. I am not a fan of things that take unnecessary space on my vanity and will de-pot the shadows to a thinner Nabla magnetic palette. I will keep the champagne and the bluish green and give away the mossy greens. Think this colour scheme is best suited for you with peachy/yellow/olive undertones and with hazel, brown or very dark eyes. Then the eyes will really pop! Hope the review was of support.
