After months of perfecting the formula, the Skincare By BEAUTY BAY Butter Cup Cleansing Balm is finally here – and if you’re not already sold on making the swap to a cleansing balm, we listed all the benefits here.
This makeup-melting balm-to-oil formula has just 16 ingredients. Keep scrolling to see which of our skincare heroes made it into the formula.
Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, chamomile soothes and moisturises the skin, reducing redness and inflammation.
Oat Kernel Oil
Packed with ceramides (the “cement” that holds skin together) oat kernel oil helps to restore and strengthen the skin’s natural barrier function, keeping moisture in and external aggressors (like bacteria and pollution) out.
Sweet Almond Oil
Rich in skin-nourishing fatty acids, sweet almond oil helps to smooth, soften, and moisturise skin, so even after cleansing, your skin feels calm and replenished.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Also known as vitamin E, tocopherol is a powerful antioxidant which helps to protect skin cells from free radicals (harmful molecules that destroy the collagen that keeps our skin soft and firm).
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
Panthenol is a humectant, which means it helps the skin to attract and draw in moisture. It also helps to strengthen the skin barrier and has anti-inflammatory properties, so can reduce irritation and sensitivity.
Eucalyptus is a cleansing and clarifying ingredient with antimicrobial and antibactieral properties. It has a fresh, relaxing aroma so is commonly used in spa treatments.
Derived from citrus fruits, citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which gently exfoluates skin by lifting away dead skin cells so skin feels smoother and looks brighter.
A soothing, anti-inflammatory ingredient, bisabolol helps to calm sensitive skin, and also has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
