Great for young daughters hair
I use this for my 5 year old daughter hairs when I do plaits/French plaits. It holds well and I know it helps nourish her hair too which is an added bonus. I didn’t want to use harsh hair sprays so this is a great alternative.
Excellent for untameable hair
My hair is usually untameable and I have actually had a lot of people comment on how frizzy, dry and terrible it looks even though it has product in it! So I have been shopping around for a product that would be of use to me for these purposes - frizziness, dryness and breakage. Cantu was recommended to me a friend who has THE PERFECT curls. She told me it was an affordable product that would do the job - but obviously she couldn't promise curls like her. While my curls can never be as nice as her with the same effort that she puts in (i.e. I need to use a curler and/or a diffuser and take longer in styling my hair given the state of my hair) it comes pretty close to what I think looks really good. This specific product targets the dryness. I use it right after I pat my hair dry with a towel after a shower and it gives a certain shine to my hair that combats the dryness. It does help with the frizz, but I believe the frizziness is better combatted when used in conjunction with another product. I do have a few Cantu products (and a Camille Rose product) that I am trying out either as stand alone products or together with other products. If your hair does suffer from shine, this product will definitely help with it. If your hair isn't super frizzy, like mine is, I doubt you'll need another product to go with it. Additionally, it leaves my hair soft even when used with other styling creams.
