Streaks & Strands Lightening Kit Powder Lightener: Potassium Persulfate, Ammonium Persulfate, Sodium Metasilicate, Sodium Stearate, Silica, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, EDTA, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein. Crème Developer: Water/Eau/Aqua, Hydrogen Peroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Trideceth-2 Carboxamide MEA Sodium Stannate, Phosphoric Acid.

Lightening Kit:

• Lightening your hair will give the most vibrant results from your GDY Semi-Permanent Dye.
• Mix one bottle of the Creme Developer with one packet of Powder Lightener in a non-metallic bowl to a creamy consistency.
• Always do a strand test before full application.
• Hair should be dry and it’s best if hair is unwashed.
• Section your hair and apply the lightening mixture with a gloved hand or brush. (TIPS: saturate the hair and cover it when you finish, to keep the Lightener from drying out. When it dries, it stops working. Protect your skin from irritation by applying shea butter, coconut oil or thick hair conditioner to your hairline and over the ears.)
• Let your hair process for no more than 50 minutes, until you achieve the desired tone. Check consistently (every 5-10 minutes) to evaluate the colour lift.
• After you achieve the desired result, rinse and shampoo your hair thoroughly with warm water until you are sure all of the product is removed. Do NOT condition the hair, as your Semi-Permanent Dye will act like your conditioner when you apply.
• Wait at least 24 hours before any further lightening.
• Before colouring with GDY Semi-Permanent Dye, make sure hair is totally dry.
• How many kits you will need: - This depends on whether you are simply doing a small section of your hair or the entire head. An entire head could require 3-5 Hair Lightening Kits depending on length and thickness.

Semi-Permanent Colour:

• To create the best canvas for your color, we recommend lightening your hair using the GDY Lightening Kit.
• Product will stain, so protect hands, all surfaces and clothing.
• Apply shea butter, coconut oil or thick conditioner to the hairline to prevent staining.
• Mix color in the GDY Color Mixing Bowl and use gloves to prevent staining hands.
• Ensure you strand test first before applying color all over your head.
• Section and apply directly onto dry hair. Make sure color is fully saturated at every step by combining product through each section.
• Let the color sit for at least 30 minutes.

• Rinse with cold water and style as desired with GDY Prime.

• Allow at least 24 hours before your first shampoo.
• Rinse hair with cool water each time you wash to minimize fading process.
• Reduce hair washing days to extend color.
