- Use a watch or clock to time your treatment.
- First, press the power button until power button light turns on.
- Second, press the laser button. Your device is ready for use.
- Shine your device onto the palm of your hand and you will see that the laser light is on (do not look at the laser light directly).
- Treatment method: Before treatment, test your skin for sensitivity. See prior TESTING FOR SENSITIVITY section in the manual.
- After you have turned on your device, place it flat on your scalp so that both rows of the teeth are touching your scalp (Figure D).
- Start at your hairline. Move your device from front to back of scalp in a slow combing motion, pausing every 1/2 inch (1 cm) for 4 seconds.
- When your device is on, it will beep and vibrate every four (4) seconds. This means that it’s time to move your device to the next area of the scalp. Do not lift your device off your scalp while combing from front to back.
- Continue in this manner from front to back and then side to side until you cover your entire scalp with multiple passes (Figure E).
- Repeat these passes for the total treatment of 8 minutes.
- If you have long hair, use your fingers to lift your hair out of the way while using your device to be sure that the laser energy reaches your scalp.
- NOTE: The Actonis Dual Action 18 LaserComb will turn off automatically after 8 minutes.

This really works !
My husband and I recently had gone on a diet trying to eat healthy and lose weight. We started the diet in October 2023 and just passed a year this October. Although we were thrilled with our weight loss we noticed hair loss. When I asked my dr if it could be caused from us losing so much weight he said definitely! So I know this is what has made the difference. It definitely works ! So happy we bought this tool ! I lost 97 pounds and my husband lost 75 pounds which is great but caused us to lose hair. But this is working great and we should be growing all of our lost hair back. Be patient and be consistent.

I purchased a Hairmax 12 laser comb several years ago and I decided to upgrade to the 18 laser comb. I have had success with the previous product and expect at least the same if not better results.
Good start-not so good finish
I bought this unit in January 2024 from QVC. Within 3 months my hair stopped falling out and I could see lots of new growth. I WAS SO HAPPY. Within the last 2 months (July and August) my hair is again falling out and I can’️t see much new growth. What’️s going on? I’️ve been faithfully using Actonis 3 times a week.
