Broke me out
I purchased this after wanting to add an essence into my routine to help brighten and hydrate my skin, settling on this particular one after watching various positive reviews - as I could not justify the price for other more expensive ones. I have acne-prone skin, breaking out a lot during/around my period, and suffer predominantly from dark spots/hyperpigmentation. I incorporated this into my routine about 2 months ago, using it once a day in the morning. The first time I used it I found that it immediately left my skin looking plump and hydrated however, after about a week I realised that I had more breakouts than normal. Initially, I thought it was just some hormonal spots that would go in a few days, but my skin didn't clear up. Nevertheless, I continued using it thinking maybe the explanation was my skin purging, but after 2 months my skin was just as bad if not worse. So, I decided to stop using it altogether, I immediately saw a difference and my skin has significantly improved.
