Key Ingredients

• Zinc (30mg): A critical nutrient for skin health, zinc helps prevent acne by regulating oil gland (sebum) activity, reduces acne severity and strengthens skin cells to minimize acne scars. It aids in collagen formation and, in conjunction with vitamin A, helps promote healing, control inflammation and regenerate tissue. Zinc also reduces the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT)—which can clog pores and increase pimple-causing inflammation
• Probiotic Blend (10 Billion CFU): As an oral supplement in the form of Lactobacilli and/or Bifidobacterium, probiotics may influence the “gut-brain-skin axis.” This prevents bad bacteria from taking over the gut and releasing toxins that cause inflammation throughout the body, including acne flare-ups on your face.
• Chromium (60mcg): This trace mineral improves glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity. The insulin response is actually significant for skin health because spikes in blood sugar levels can cause an increase in blemishes. Chromium helps not only to balance blood sugar levels, but also to improve skin cell metabolism.
• Niacin (25mg): Nicotinamide is a vitamin with potent anti-inflammatory properties which reduces redness and blotches caused by acne. Niacinimide can also help regulate the amount of oil the sebaceous glands produce and prevent your glands from going into overdrive.
• Vitamin B6 (3mg): Vitamin B6 can also help to regulate some of the hormone irregularities which can cause acne flare ups, to keep your skin clear and acne-free, especially during menstruation, as well as reducing the inflammation that co-exists with acne flare ups to leave you with calm, clear skin.
• Selenium (100mcg): A mighty antioxidant! Studies have shown that a lack of selenium can contribute to inflammatory skin conditions like acne. Selenium helps the body produce glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme that combats inflammation. It also works to protect other skin-supporting antioxidants like vitamins A and E, which help minimize acne lesions and scarring.
• Pantothenic Acid (20mg): Pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) helps manufacture the structural proteins your skin needs, like collagen. It makes skin cells multiply faster, and helps those cells cross wound barriers to repair and help form new skin layers. Pantothenic Acid is a precursor for coenzyme A which help to increase the amount of squalene, cholesterol, and other fats necessary to protect the skin, and actually strengthens the hair follicles. Stronger follicles means they form a stronger barrier which prevents them from filling up with excess sebum.
• Copper (2mg): 2mg of Copper is recommended with the intake of 30mg of zinc per day (this helps to balance out the zinc: copper ration)
