LET YOUR UNDEREYE CONCEALER DRY DOWN
‘I always tap in everything on my face first and then I focus on the under eyes so it has a little bit of time to dry down. I know that sounds scary but if you let your concealer dry down a bit, it creates more pigment and covers more. And who doesn’t want more coverage?’
EYE PRIMER AND CONTOURING ARE HER MAKEUP FAVES
‘The first beauty tip that really changed my life was eye primer. I used to spend hours doing my eye makeup then 15 minutes later a crease would pop up and then someone like ‘you need to try eye primer. I was like: ‘Er what is that? What is that supposed to do?’
‘I put it on my lid and I remember telling everyone in my circle that they needed eye primer. So, eye primer has definitely changed me. And contouring! Because Lord knows this balloon of a face needs it! That’s why I’m doing it right now, I’m feeling a little round.’
NEVER SET YOUR EYE PRIMER
‘Rule number one! Don’t set your eye primer! You want to put it on your skin and then take a dry beauty blender and tap it in place. This is going to be like a magnet to the shadows because it’s kind of sticky. That pigment will just adhere to the skin like nobody’s business.’
HOODED EYES SHOULD IGNORE THE CREASE
‘I have hooded eyes and if I could pay for an inch more lid space I would really go there! The only thing I do is go beyond the lines, go beyond what I see, and I create what I want to see. For me, if I’m going ‘into my crease’ I would go way above the actual crease. So even when I look straight forward, you can see all the hard work that I’ve out into it. Always go beyond the lines and create your own.’
ZOMER ALMOST DIDN’T MAKE THE PALETTE
‘Zomer when we started was more like a baby pink. And then compared to Blend & Snap!, it was like what are you doing, we already have that colour and you’re trying to steal the show. But I really wanted a burnt coral colour and that’s when Zomer came along.
‘We had planned to have a true purple colour, but I felt like it made the palette a little too colourful and I wanted more neutrals in there. So that’s when we added 5am. The green was also a different type of green, it was more of a hunter green and I was like, ‘everybody has done a hunter green, I want a weird green.’ So that’s when Ew! came out.’
KIM KARDASHIAN TAUGHT HER HOW TO DEAL WITH TROLLS
‘Kim Kardashian told me when someone leaves a hate comment or when someone has something negative to say about you, they spend approximately 15 seconds of their 24-hour day to get rid of those emotions and get going with their life. Why would you let someone’s 15 seconds ruin your entire day? It’s not worth it!’
SHE REVEALED WHY SHE DOESN’T LIKE GREEN
‘I don’t know why but it’s always been like the rainbow and green. It was always rooted in me that green was like ew. I have to say it’s growing on me. It’s taken 26 years but we are getting there.’
SHIMMERS ARE BEST APPLIED WITH THE FINGERS
‘The shimmers are best applied with the fingers. I apply the majority of the shimmer with my finger, gliding and tapping it on, and then with a brush, I manoeuvrer it into the shape I like.’
SHE HEATS HER EYELASH CURLER WITH A LIGHTER
‘I anyone is wondering what the hell I am doing; I am curling my lashes with a curler and a lighter so it’s like an actual curling iron. If you’re going to try this at home, make sure it doesn’t burn your lids. You light up the metal part and let it cool down. Once it’s comfortable to touch, you curl it out. It’s the best trick ever.’
SHE WANTS TO FILM A VIDEO WITH HARRY STYLES
‘This eye look is giving me watermelon sugar high! You know I would love to film a video with Harry Styles one day. Wouldn’t that be fun! And give him like a nice glittery glam. He’s a king!’
