Great to use with retinol
While Bakuchiol serum is recommended as a replacement for retinol, I already have a 1% retinol serum and want to get results from it. However, its too harsh to use directly on my skin so I've found that layering it on after the Bakuchiol serum is awesome for me as I get the benefits of both serums and no dry/peeling skin. I like the colour and the scent is really mild. It glides on as it has a gel-like texture and absorbs well.
Ok I think.
I put this in my nighttime routine so I often forget to use it, but I think it's ok, it's a creamy serum that you can use after your serums and before your thicker night creams. Plus it's an airless pump, so extra points for that.
Works but just subtly
It works but very subtly. It seems to work some days better than others.
New to Bakuchiol
I apply this ever morning and evening. I'm not entirely sure it's doing too much, though it feels good to be trying to relieve my fine lines. My skin is fairly sensitive and this did not irritate my skin at all. Bakuchiol is mainly obtained from the seeds of the plant Psoralea corylifolia, which is widely used in Indian as well as in Chinese medicine to treat a variety of diseases. Who knows if 1% is strong enough but the main benefits: Wrinkle reduction, increases skin firmness, and reduces the appearance of pores. Who should use it: Generally, bakuchiol is safe for all skin types. How often can you use it: It's safe to use twice a day, in the morning before moisturizer and at night before any serums. Fingers crossed!

Be careful!
I got a severe reaction from this serum. I was red like the inside of a watermelon. And now, several days later my skin is so dry and it doesn’t matter what kind of hydration I put on my face it doesn’t help. My skin is like paper and I don’t know what to do... I have never had any reaction to anything I put on my face before so this was a total shock.
